IslaHub ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Contact info you submit: name, email, phone (when provided), and message content from forms like Post a Listing and the Investor Hub consultation request.
- Calculator inputs and results: when you request an Act 60 consultation, the scenario you modeled (purchase price, rent, projected returns) is sent with your contact info so the matched advisor has context.
- Browsing data: standard request logs (IP, user agent, referrer, pages visited) via our hosting provider, retained for fraud prevention and basic analytics.
- Local-only data: your saved favorites are stored only in your browser's localStorage and never sent to our servers.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiries and connect you with matched service providers or advisors.
- To improve the site, fix bugs, and understand which features are useful.
- To prevent abuse, spam, and fraud.
Sharing
We share your information only with the specific provider or advisor you ask to be connected with. We do not sell your information to third parties. We may share with service vendors (hosting, database, email) under their privacy terms, and we may disclose if required by law.
Storage and security
Your submissions are stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL hosted in the United States). We use HTTPS for all traffic and follow standard industry practices. No system is 100% secure; please don't send sensitive information (SSN, financial account numbers) through our forms.
Cookies and similar technology
We use minimal cookies, primarily for language preference and your saved listings (browser localStorage). We don't run third-party advertising trackers.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. Email us at hello@islahub.example and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
IslaHub is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. We'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, post a notice on the site.
